MEET DR. TOM TAKUBO
Born and raised in West Virginia, Dr. Tom Takubo's father was a coal miner and his mother was a school teacher. Tom knows the value of hard work.
Dr. Takubo's first experience with healthcare was in Emergency Medical Services where he was named paramedic of the year and even competed in national EMS competitions representing the state of West Virginia.
After attending Marshall University, Dr. Takubo received his medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. In addition to his current medical practice, Dr. Takubo is still medical faculty for West Virginia University.
Dr. Takubo did his specialty training in Pulmonology and Critical Care after having watched his father suffer from black lung and lung cancer. Dr. Takubo is widely recognized as having brought the most advanced lung diagnostics and non invasive treatment options to West Virginia.
Currently, Dr. Tom Takubo is a successful business owner and partner in one of the most unique lung centers in the country.
Dr. Takubo's experience as a healthcare provider and business owner put him in a unique position to help guide the state through some of its most pressing issues: providing jobs and providing access to affordable healthcare.
Tom resides in the Southridge area of South Charleston and has three children.
